movement, function & performance

The science of Kinesiology addresses the physiological, mechanical, and psychological mechanisms associated with human movement.

Applications for this ranges from a pre-operative situation thereby speeding recovery, post-operative rehabilitation setting for movement re-training, overcoming a chronic or persistent pain/balance condition, or safely attaining a fitness goal.

As a human movement specialist, the Kinesiologist is trained to look at the whole person, not just the affected area, and then assess where the weak links are located in the kinetic chain. The next step is to prescribe the appropriate, progressive exercises and stretches, coping strategies and adjustment of daily habits to help alleviate any discomfort and restore movement.
